Suggestions are given below:
1. Library timings should be extending to 7.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m.
2. As results shows that no Institute is providing specified pay scale to its library staff which must be given.
3. Numbers of periodicals, Reference books and CDs database should be increased according to requirement.
4. Following services must be added
a) Process of Inter-Library Loan should be made more easy and less time consuming.
b) Book Bank service to Users.
d) Close Circuit Camera
5. There should be a close circuit camera for security purpose to check all activities in Library
6. Air Conditioning facility should be provided to Users.
7. Reading room should be open on Sunday and other holidays
8. Broad band Internet should introduce in the library.
9. The library is facing lack of space and library should have their separate buildings.
11. The number of systems must be increased because the available systems are not according to users requirements.
12. Library must organize Internet Training Programme for its Users.
13. Library should subscribe on -line Journals.
14. It has been observed that some users are not even aware of the major services provided by the library. So there should be a provision of display of library services on proper place for keeping the users aware. Some printed brochure could also be provided to make the users aware of library services.
15. Quality of library Services depends on the library staff. Thus library staff needs to be motivated to become helpful to users. Staff should be trained to serve the users as per requirement.
16. Library collection should be improved by acquiring the latest editions and international journals & publications. Audio-visual collection should also be improved.
17. Display racks should be in the user’s approach.
18. Some of the students grumble that course books are available in ample but relevant pages are found missing from the books. Therefore, there should be a strict check and punishment for this to prevent cutting & destroying of articles or photographs from the books and periodicals.
19. There should be proper vacuuming of the books in the library.
20. Library staff should try to keep the atmosphere of the library peaceful because sometimes it is observed that some users create disturbance in the library by ways of talking to each other and talking on phone.
21. Most of the students don’t have sufficient facilities for reading at home. They prefer to read in the library only. Thus library should remain open for long hours and in exam days this should also remain open on Sunday.
22. Teachers should also cooperate and set an example for students by returning library books on time.
23. In the college library hardly there is any person available to guide the users regarding the existing library resources to make their proper use.
24. The librarian has raised the point of lack of fund. No specific grant from Govt. has been provided to the library, because these are self finance organizations
25. In users’ opinion, there should be a suggestion box in the library so that their problems could reach to the librarian.
