According to the history, a very famous Greek mathematician invented this machine that could vend and thus, Egyptian temples made use of these machines at the entrance, for supplying holy water to people. Later, in the year 1880, the world saw the first coin-operated and commercial vending machine in London, installed for dispensing postcards.

After this, a very famous bookshop owner and publisher invented machines that could vend books. Even in the year 1888, America saw a vending machine that could dispense gums. Installed in the platforms of New York City, this machine vended fruit flavored gums.
 
Advancements and popularity of this machine kept on increasing with every passing day and today, you can see them all around you.
